SilverFast - Multiple Densitometer

![]() ![]() |
Densitometers are devices for the quantitative measurement of color density and optical density of printed originals and particularly important in photographic technique to measure the density in negatives, slides and photographs. Unlike a spectrophotometer a densitometer can only measure tonal values, no hue. Analogously, the densitometer in SilverFast is a software tool to control gray and color values in an original. The densitometer allows to understand changes to tonal values made by SilverFast's image optimization features for each individual pixel.
The densitometer in SilverFast SE and SE Plus On the left side of the SilverFast densitometer dialog, the unmodified tones of the preview scan are shown. The right side shows the tonal values, which would result in the scanned image with the actual image optimizations.
The Densitometer in SilverFast Ai Studio The densitometer tool has been extended for SilverFast Ai Studio with some display options.
