Our new Help Center is the first place to go, if you have any questions or problems. In the FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) section you will find answers to the most frequently asked questions about SilverFast and our other products. There is more know-how and operating instructions to discover in our Knowledge Base. Through our Help Center, you can also submit a request directly to our support team.

Software Registration

Here you can register your SilverFast version 8 software. No separate registration is required to use SilverFast version 9. All you need for SilverFast 9 is a MySilverFast user account, which is automatically created when you purchase the software.

Activation Key

You have received an Activation Key for SilverFast 8 or for PrinTao 8 (for example from your dealer)? Click here to convert this key into a serial number or license file. For SilverFast 9 you need a MySilverFast user account.


TeamViewer is a desktop sharing software e.g. for remote maintenance. It is completely free for home users. Download the current Mac or Windows version of the TeamViewer desktop sharing software here.

Support Tool

If you have technical problems with SilverFast, e.g. if it does not start anymore, you can use our support tool to contact us. In addition to your message, it will also transmit some technical data (SSL-encrypted), which enables a quick error analysis to our support team. Please extract the data from the ZIP archive (Windows) or double-click the DMG file (macOS). Then run the included SilverFast Support Tool.
