The PIE PowerFilm Plus is a film strip scanner for 35mm film. It can digitize up to 10 film strips fully automatically. The PowerFilm Plus features an infrared channel for removing dust and scratches with SilverFast iSRD.

The 35mm Film Strip Scanner PowerFilm Plus is able to automatically scan up to ten 35mm film strips (60 images) with just one click. This makes it particularly suitable for the automated scanning of massive filmstrip archives within a short period of time. Using SilverFast you will be able to scan your film with superior quality into lossless raw data images. After scanning you can conveniently edit and optimize these images with our SilverFast HDR software.
I’m using this PIE medium format scanners for a year now and I’m thrilled with the opportunities I have with SilverFast. The image automatics work almost perfectly, 90% of all images I do not need to optimize any further. And even old photographies with really strong color casts I can get completely restored.
I found Pacific Image Electronics’ PrimeFilm to have a remarkable collection of features at a remarkably low price. A scanner is only as good as its driver, and getting SilverFast to drive it was a genuine surprise, and a very pleasant one.
