Umax is a taiwanese company with business establishments in many countries. The production of scanners is part of the main business area since the middle of the 1990s.
The Astra 2000U from Umax is an older scanner model for which the manufacturer no longer updates the device drivers. However, the Astra 2000U scanner is still supported by our scanner software SilverFast 6.6, which has proven itself in use over many years.
