On the market since 2004, the sophisticated DigitDia 4000 is a good choice for archiving large collections of framed slides. The automatic feeding from slide magazines with capacities of up to 100 slides facilitates this work immensely.
We recommend to operate the DigitDia 4000 with the SilverFast Archive Suite. Whole magazines of slides are stored in batch mode as HDRi RAW data, while Multi-Exposure ensures maximum dynamic range. The image optimization can take place also in batch mode at any time later, automatically freed of dust and scratches using iSRD.
SilverFast ADF Scan
ADF is an abbreviation for “Automatic Document Feeder“. The DigitDia 4000 film scanner is able to feed in small format slides automatically. This means, the user does not have to transport the filmholder from image to image by hand, but controls the feeder with SilverFast. This manual describes how to use the SilverFast ADF functionality.
