My Plustek Scanner is not found on my 64 bit Windows system

SymptomSymptom:
My Plustek scanner is not being found on my 64 bit Windows system.

ProblemProblem:
SilverFast 6 is still a 32 bit software and can not use 64 bit drivers.

SolutionSolution:
Solution 1.:
Upgrade to a full 64 bit version of SilverFast 8.
(Your existing serial number will provide a discount.)

Solution 2.:
Extract the 32 bit folder from the Plustek driver package for your device.
Execute the setup.exe file from that directory.
It will first remove the 64 bit drivers.
On the second run it will install 32 bit drivers.

My problem is now solved. My problem is still not solved.
