Windows XP support: SilverFast 5.5 or higher (Ai,DC,HDR and SE) are tested for Windows XP compatibility. However, some SilverFast variants were running fine on a RC1 version of that operating system. Our testing experience so far showed that SilverFast for normal SCSI connected devices is very likely to run fine on Windows XP, as no device drivers are needed & prime condition: Windows XP should recognize the SCSI adapter correctly. SilverFast for USB/FireWire devices will definitely not be compatible to Windows XP when the manufacturer scan software isn't working either. Generally LaserSoft Imaging recommends a tryout of the SilverFast demo software before purchasing SilverFast for Windows XP. If the demo runs smoothly on Windows XP, the full version will do the same.
