2.2 Why was the SilverFast WorkflowPilot developed?

Image processing is a difficult field, and not every user understands the concept of the proper procedure and – especially – the right order in which things should be done. While in the past only highly qualified specialists in high-end technology could carry out this kind of work, today more and more people are viewing, scanning, and if possible improving their private photos themselves. Where should you start? Should you do the contrast or the colors first, or remove the scratches or the color cast? Doing things in the wrong order simply by not knowing better can ruin the image entirely. The WorkflowPilot permits the user to make a choice of the material they want to process and how it will be used. Only those tools will be available for the different processing steps that are actually needed for these tasks. The user is guided safely through the software features.

How Does the WorkflowPilot Work?
Logical hierarchies are created for the optimum process of color reproduction management, which are activated after selecting the processing objectives and the material to be used. All tools for the image processing steps required are available for the user, but you only see what you need, and you only need what you see.
