The installer is telling me, SilverFast had been installed, but I can't find it anywhere.

The installer is telling me, SilverFast had been installed, but I can't find it anywhere.

ProblemProblem:
You've installed a SilverFast TWAIN version or your driver is outdated.
You cannot find out how to run it, although installer ran through seemingly without problems.

SolutionSolution:
SilverFast TWAIN can only be started from a TWAIN compatible host application, usually a graphics viewer or an image manipulation program.

Open your app of choice, and look in the "File" menu for "import" or "TWAIN" or "Scan" options.
In some software programs you need to set a TWAIN source program first before you can use their TWAIN import function.

If you'd rather wanted to use SilverFast as a kind of stand-alone application, install the Photoshop plug-in variant of SilverFast.
That variant will also install the so-called "SF_Launcher" that's able to run SilverFast without the need of another program.
This can be done additionally to the TWAIN install.

It is also possible your installed driver is not compatible with your SilverFast version.
Try installing the latest driver update.
