I just updated and my SilverFast icon just bounces in the dock when I try to start it.

My dock icon bounces.

SilverFast is not able to start correctly.

In case you have installed SilverFast for more than one scanner, make sure that the latest updates are installed for all versions.

SilverFast has core components and modules for individual scanner. Older modules will not be able to use newer core components. Therefor all installed modules require the latest release.

It is also possible SilverFast is not able to access certain necessary files. Try repairing the disk permissions using the OSX disk utility.
(Applications -> Utilities -> Disk utility)
Select your main hard drive (e.g. Macintosh HD) and select "repair disk permissions" from the central menu.

In case these steps do not help try reinstalling SilverFast. Remove SilverFast using the "uninstall SilverFast 8" app in: 
/Applications/SilverFast Application/SilverFast 8
(This can take a few seconds.)
Then reinstall the latest update from our website. Our "updates" are always full installation files.
