How do I create multi-page PDFs with SilverFast
SymptomSymptom:
I would like to create a multi-page PDF file.
ProblemProblem:
The direct PDF output only creates single page PDF files.
SolutionSolution:
For flatbed scanners it is possible to create multi-page PDFs through SilverFast's integrated PrinTao print interface.

Many current operating systems have a PDF output function included.
Further advanced free and premium  PDF print tools are available on the Internet.
On some operating systems you will have to install such an external PDF printing tool.
  • Prepare your scan frames as you would do for a batch scan. 
  • Click the PrinTao Button. 
  • Arrange your images.
  • Select the PDF printer and start the print.


For example you can use this function with the PDF creation tool included in OSX.

-> Select any installed printer  -> Open the PDF menu in the lower left -> select "Save as PDF"
