SilverFast 9 ExpressScan

The SilverFast ExpressScan feature is an intelligent new scanning method that can save a lot of time. If several images are placed side by side regarding the scanning direction, the number of scan passes can be reduced. The German patent application pending ExpressScan is included with our SilverFast Archive Suite from version 9.1 and it is automatically activated if the position of the scan frames allows it.

SilverFast 9 IT8 Calibration (Tutorial)

Even identical scanners record colors differently. The SilverFast IT8 Calibration compensates these differences and ensures correct colors. From the measured color values, SilverFast creates an individual color profile for your scanner and activates it automatically.

SilverFast 9 Multi-Exposure

SilverFast Multi-Exposure records an original’s maximum Dynamic Range by performing a double scan with an increased exposure time of the second scan. This procedure captures the light image area’s details in the first pass and the shadow details in the second. Afterwards an algorithm calculates the final scan, which now contains any detail, from each single scan.
