The Gamma Optimization
The SilverFast Gamma Optimization is a further link between scanning in 48bit and processing your data with SilverFast HDR or SilverFast HDR Studio. The optimized gamma settings will be automatically recognized and adopted, if you have activated the "for HDR output" function in the regarding options dialog.
(See Fig.1)

The advantage of Gamma Synchronization in 48bit data is the consistent, predictable brightness and color between SilverFast Ai and SilverFast HDR (also applies to DCPro and Studio versions). When Gamma Synchronization was activated while scanning, the gamma value has not to be set manually in SilverFast HDR. SilverFast HDR recognizes the gamma value from the scanned file automatically and transfers it to the options dialog.
