When I click my focus button to the P-selection I'll get a new dialog with many buttons. What do I actually specify here? |
A: |
The P selection is the manual focus adjust dialog for adjusting the distance of the optical scan unit to the surface of the scan material. This is referred to as hardware focus. |
Q: |
When I click on Manual in the P-selection of my focus in order to generate a prescan in real-output resolution with focus applied, I'll get the entire preview image into these little "Before / After" previews. Sharpness is hard to judge there.
How can I zoom this preview? |
A: |
The zoom-size of this focus preview depends on the specified output resolution.
The higher the output resolution, the closer the zoom in this preview.

Q: |
Linotype 2650 and Circon ELS5000
why do I get error message on Focus prompting me to use default values? |
A: |
SilverFast does NOT support all of the optical lenses of the device. Therefore, the automatic focus can only be used in default mode.
