The new SilverFast Archive Suite SE offers all necessary tools allowing you to do the professional and lossless digitizing of your collections by yourself - no need to give away those precious originals anymore.

The SilverFast Archive Suite SE consists of the two programs:
SilverFast SE Plus und SilverFast HDR

The HDR Workflow
The scanner software SilverFast SE Plus allows to capture 48bit RAW data which can then be processed with SilverFast HDR. The RAW data captures all information contained within the image, making it ideal for post-processing it at a later time. The new SilverFast Archive Suite SE package contains the two individual programs SilverFast SE Plus and SilverFast HDR.

By means of the intelligent frame-finding option and the lossless HDR archive format (48bit RAW data) processing large number of images in a very short amount of time is easy. This digitized data is then safe from destruction, wear and loss.

Additionally, SilverFast's Multi-Exposure ensures the highest possible quality while any noise is minimized and density is dramatically increased, revealing more details in the darker areas without over-exposing the highlights. Without the Multi-Exposure, this additional information could not be captured. A permanent Gamma-syncronization of the 48bit data ensures the consistent and predictable brightness and color reproduction between SilverFast SE Plus and SilverFast HDR.

SilverFast HDR allows the post-processing of this scanner RAW data. This principle is known from digital photography - professionals always capture images in a camera RAW format in order to obtain maximum image quality and increase the amount of useable information captured in the image. SilverFast's HiRePP function within SilverFast HDR, makes it possible to open these 48bit RAW files in realtime. Only one single 48bit scan is needed; once the 48bit data is captured, it can be used in a variety of different ways. May it be a fine-art print, a presentation, a post card or a web gallery.

NEW: The SilverFast HDRi RAW data format with infrared channel
The HDRi feature is part of any SilverFast HDR and Archive Suite edition version 6.6.1 or later. The 64bit HDRi color files (and the 32bit grayscale files respectively) developed therefore contain all readable image information including the information of the infrared channel, which's data can be used for image optimization, e.g. for dust and scratch removal. Hence, HDRi RAW data is the perfect source material for any later post processing steps. Read more about SilverFast HDRi.

NEW: SilverFast's auto-USM for HDR and DC is now aligned to the scanner

With version 6.6.1r4 SilverFast saves scanner related information along with the image data. This allows an advanced automatic Unsharp Masking for the later post processing with SilverFast HDR, which takes the specific scanner details into account and is therefore able to produce brilliant, pin sharp images.
