SilverFast 8 supports Mac OS X 10.7 Lion - available now

Kiel, Germany, August 17, 2011 - SilverFast, the most popular scanner software in the world, will be released as brand-new version SilverFast 8. After many successful years, SilverFast is available completely renewed for the most important scanners of all major manufacturers. With the powerful new SilverFast software images can be created, edited and brought to perfection easily.

SilverFast 8 runs natively on Intel Mac OS X systems from version 10.5 (including 10.7 Lion). 32bit computers will be supported as well as 64bit systems. Older versions of SilverFast will not run under Lion!

Until 30th of June 2012, LaserSoft Imaging will offer a free upgrade to SilverFast 8 to all customers who will purchase or have purchased a copy of SilverFast version 6.6 after June 1st. This offer is naturally also valid for SilverFast versions bundled with a scanner device or purchased from a dealer.

SilverFast 8 is Lion compatible for the following scanners:


Mac OS X Lion and other SilverFast products
In addition to the scanner software, SilverFast HDR, HDR Studio and PrinTao will be fully available as new version 8 for Mac OS x 10.7 after extensive tests.
