LaserSoft Imaging は世界で最後となるスキャナー・キャリブレーション用コダクローム・ターゲットを発売します。
コダクロームは Kodak がbetween 1935 ～ 2009 に製造した ポピュラーなスライドフィルムです。 最初に商業的に成功した、自然な色再現性をもつ３色フィルムでした。 コダクロームフィルムの特徴は素晴らしいシャープネス、良好な粒状性、生き生きとした色、さらにアーカイブ時の保存に優れています。

コダクロームは素材や現像プロセスにおいて他のファイル無とは非常に異なっています。この事実が、コダクロームファイルを 他のカラーフィルムと同じようにスキャンすると問題が起きててしまいます。 LaserSoft Imaging ではコダクローム・ターゲットを自社製造しており、 コダクローム・スライド本来のカラーデジタイズを可能にしています。 ２０１０年以降、コダクローム・フィルム現像用の単一のフォトラボはありません。 (ソース: Wikipedia) これは新たなコダクローム・ターゲットが今後製造されない事を意味します。

なぜ、コダクローム・ターゲットでのキャリブレーションは重要なのか?
コダクローム乳剤内の黄色の染料は通常、スキャナーは人の目よりも知覚できません。 従い、人の眼はスキャナーよりもコダクローム画像からの「黄色のスペクトラム」をより捉えます。 代わりに、コダクローム・スライドをノーマルなフジクロームやエクタロームのＩＣＣプロファイルでスキャンした場合、 スキャン結果は人の眼には青色のキャストになります。 コダクローム・キャリブレーションターゲットを使えば正確な色を得られます。

スキャナーソフト SilverFast 8 は新発売されましたが、 Archive Suite 版（Ai ＆ HDR のバンドルセット）は今後発売を予定しております。

Archive Suite（アーカイブ・スイート）は膨大な画像コレクションのアーカイブ用ソフトウェアパッケージで、 スキャナーソフトと画像処理ソフトにカラーマネージメントシステムを統合したものが含まれます。 スキャナーソフトで 64bit/ 48bit RAW データを SilverFast HDR (Studio)との連携処理用に作成します。 これら RAW ファイルは画像の全データが含まれており、ポスト処理用に最適です。

SilverFast HDR は現在開発中です。パブリックリリース期間中、 SilverFast HDR Studio 8 は無償でダウンロード頂けます。 SilverFast HDR 8 発売まで、SilverFast Archive Suite 8 には ver 6.6 の SilverFast HDR がバンドルされます。 .
