yes, you can rotate the scan area in SilverFast.
There are four semicircles at the active border. Move the mouse over it, so the semicircle will change to a rotate symbol and you can rotate the scan area.

DCVLT is a software for normal digital cameras. LEICA S1 is a scanner camera, so we have a special Ai-version for it. 
I made a ticket, so you will be contacted from my colleague. He will inform you if it can be changed to a current version of Ai.

unfortunately it is not possible to run the dust and scratch reduction without open the files.
Either you make the reduction while scanning or you must use SilverFast HDR to reduce it after scanning.

I am not in the US,but i am sure that is a good price, in Europe you wouldn't get one of those scanners with SilverFast and profiling package for less than 1500 euros (aprox. 2000 Dollars).
