Pentacon
Pentacon manufactures scanner cameras for highest needs (resolution up to 20.000 x 20.000 pixels) often required by advertising and repro photography, museums and engineering offices.

Unlike traditional digital cameras the Scan 6000 scans the motif similar to a flatbed scanner with a one-dimensional CCD. The capturing time of about one minute is quite long compared to that of a camera, but therefore particularly high resolutions and best image quality are achievable. The camera Scan 6000 is used as part of the Herbar Digital project to digitize herbal specimens.
