Heidelberg (Linotype-Hell)

Heidelberg has developed two very different kinds of scanners: Desktop flatbed scanners with transparency unit for negatives and slides on the one hand and high-end drum scanners for professional usage in the field of preprint on the other hand.

Today, SilverFast is the sole scanner software supporting Heidelberg drum scanners under actual operating systems.

Tested successfully with SCSI-to-firewire converter Ratoc FR1SX on G5 system running Mac OSX 10.4, and also on Intel-CPU-Mac running 10.5 and 10.6.
Using the scanner via a SCSI to Firewire adapter is supported.
Firewire connection is not supported
