A lot of issues can be resolved by deleting the SilverFast preferences, e.g.:

1. SilverFast once worked, but not anymore for an unknown reason
2. SilverFast "acts strange" somehow
3. SilverFast doesn't seem to accept changes you make in the program

I want to set back SilverFast to the original state where everything worked fine.

Resetting is most easily done with help of the service dialogue.
1. You call the service dialog with the icon just right of the SF version button in the SF_Launcher.

2. Selecting "Delete preference files" resets SilverFast to its factory settings.
Please note that any saved frames, and user settings will be lost!
If you want to save your preferences files before deleting, you will have to do the same on file and folder level.
